Michele Dempsey is an architect, entrepreneur, community builder, and storyteller who believes that design — and life — are about sparking possibility. As founder and CEO of DxDempsey Architecture, she has led award-winning projects across the country, blending innovation, strategy, and heart to create spaces that inspire and connect. Michele knows how to turn bold ideas into real-world impact.

Beyond architecture, Michele has spent her life creating connections and sparking change in her community. She played a key role in transforming Scranton’s image through national events celebrating the The Office — helping shift the story of a city from coal to cool — and she has championed environmental causes through her work with Friends of Lackawanna, an organization dedicated to protecting community health and natural resources.

Having navigated raising a family as a single mom, building a business, leading through uncertainty, learning to ask for help, and daring to ask, "What’s next?" at every new chapter, Michele knows that real growth happens through real conversation, resilience, sharing resources and community. Through Spark Me, she’s creating a space where women lift each other up, share their stories, and spark new beginnings — always with a good dose of laughter and heart.
